Multi-Color Technical Guide

  • AMS users: All multi-color files include pre-configured color assignments in the included .3mf project file. Open in Bambu Studio - colors are pre-assigned. No manual setup needed.
  • Manual filament swap: Product files include a "swap guide" text file listing the exact layer numbers for each color change. Pause your print at those layers and swap.
  • Purge tower management: Multi-color AMS prints generate significant purge waste. Use a textured PEI sheet for the purge tower and slice it away from your main model to minimize waste.
  • Color combinations that work: High contrast outperforms similar hues. Black + white, red + black, gold + dark blue, and copper + matte black are the top-performing combos across this catalog.
